As one of the largest fuel distributors in the world BP Australia has 1000’s of service stations located Australia wide. BP Australia has moved their head office from Melbourne CBD to water front view in Docklands. BP Facility management required a user friendly, latest and proven CCTV, burglar alarm system and access control systems.

Business Challenge

Existing building had Protégé Access control system which the client refused to use for number of reasons and additionally the existing building had analogue security cameras CCTV system for surveillance.

OmniVision provided a solution based on Innrage Concept access control system and Pure IP Platform for surveillance.

As a result, our business partner needed a video surveillance system which takes advantage of the latest technology. The system had to be a future-proof, flexible video surveillance system with maximum efficiency, scalability and reliability to meet the business partner’s requirements.

Solution

A pure IP based video content management and Concept Access and alarm control panels produce better superior solution that customer was expecting. We have used Axis cameras that are able to provide better picture quality in low light conditions. Due to number of floors that required access control and IP Cameras we have to provide a Fibre network backbone to support the infrastructure.

Additionally we have installed a dual SIM Card GPRS unit to monitor the alarm activities through our monitoring centre. This unit is able to transfer IP Packets to the monitoring centre using Telstra network and Optus network.
